Age-old rock

The rock in same places of Godthåb-fjord is around 3.8 Million years old. That makes it one of the oldest places on earth.

Fishery port

Beside the big cargo vessels for the Atlantic routes the harbour is home for many small and medium trawlers. Most of them are for shrimp and crab fishing around Nuuk.

Many sea eagles nest around Nuuk high up in the mountains.

Myoxocephalus scorpius: one of our most common fish in all terrain. Easy to catch almost impossible to avoid. Isn't it lovely?

Whale watching

Just outside of the Nuuk fjord you can find an eldorado for whale watchers.
